The Irish Feels

I don’t know about you, but during this pandemic, I have a hard time keeping up with dates. I have no idea what day of the week it is or when holidays are coming up. I had to be reminded a few times that St. Patrick’s Day is on the way.

Why bother with the day? St. Patrick’s Day (aka Feast of Saint Patrick) is celebrated annually on March 17, the anniversary of death of Saint Patrick (c. 385 — c. 461) a patron saint of Ireland. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over 1,000 years. Plus, it’s a good reason to have a dram of whiskey.

What will you do to celebrate? I think I’ll watch Leprechaun and get in some Irish whiskey. I’ve become a big fan of whiskey from Ireland in the past few years, especially the single pot.

I’ll be sipping The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth. It’s a blend of Single Grain, Single Malt, and Single Pot whiskey that has been matured and finished in 3 different casks — bourbon, sherry, and marsala. The “new to world” Irish Whiskey that is born out of a modern Ireland, where the contemporary and bold meet at the crossroads of tradition. This whiskey can be sipped neat or in a cocktail. One day I hope to be sipping it in Ireland.

Peep the recipe below.. you can never go wrong with a whiskey Old-Fashioned. Simply use Busker instead of bourbon. Quick, easy, smooth. BOOM!
