Theopolis Winery may be a small boutique vineyard, but it is mighty thanks to the vision of, Theodora Lee. While Lee is a law firm partner and trial lawyer by day in San Francisco, her other passion is making wine. While she loves both of her careers, wine lovers would like for her to make wine full time so we can sip more of her wine. Lee is known as Theo-patra, Queen of the Vineyards. She was recently recognized and honored as one of the 2020 Wine Industry Leaders by Wine Business Monthly.
Theopolis Vineyards was founded in 2003 by Lee after enrolling in viticulture classes at UC Davis. Farming was a part of her childhood due to spending time on your grandfather’s farm. Her 5-acre vineyard is a hand-crafted winery is located in California’s prestigious Yorkville Highlands AVA of the Anderson Valley. In addition to bottling it’s award winning intense and flavorful Petite Sirah and Rosé of Petite Sirah, Theopolis Vineyards strikes a high note with Symphony, a white wine, which is a crossing of Muscat and Grenache Gris.
