Several months ago I was whisked away from the city to go on a “Escape to Bourgogne” adventure in the Hudson Valley with Bourgogne Wines.
To kick off the adventure we boarded a party bus then enjoyed a glass of Crémant de Bourgogne by Gruhier and some wine education. Not a bad way to kick off the way. It was a beautiful ride along the way. The Hudson Valley never disappoints.
The day was filled with flowing wine and good food prepared by chef Roxanne Spruance of Kingsley in NYC.
I’m now on my way to Bourogne for a media trip. I can’t wait to discover some of the lesser known wines and share them with you. While Bourgogne is known for their wines on the luxury end, there are plenty of affordable wines from the region a that are also of superior quality. Don’t forget to be on the look out for those wines next time you are craving something French.
It’s hard to pick what wine I’m most excited about. I love Chablis, it is my one of my favorite white wines. I’ve been known to say that I would bath in it. I still get surprised when wine drinkers don’t know anything about it. However, if I had to choose a wine from Bourgogne that makes my palate sing, it would be the Crémant. It’s a wine that so many people sleep on, but should be add in to their wine rotation.
Stay tuned to the adventures. I’ll be sharing on social media and writing it up here. Cheers!
