I love a good bed and breadfast, how about you ? In fact when I travel, I love to spend ample time in the hotel or B& B that I stay in. It’s always refreshing to rest on vacation, because it’s actual rest.
I’ve never been to Mexico City, but I have a feeling I’d love it. The food and ambiance are right up my alley. If I do make my way, there La Palomilla would be where I would want to stay during my trip.
La Palomilla in Mexico City is a seven bedroom boutique bed & breakfast located in the heart of La Roma, a neighborhood in Mexico City. It’s conveniently located three blocks from the Chapultepec Castle and Anthropology museum and four blocks away from Contramar.
Each room is equipped with Streaming TV and flat-screens. All rooms have a private bathroom. There are also free organic toiletries, made in Mexico, and a hairdryer in your bathroom.
Since the B&B wants guests to leave their worries behind, they will be tucking in traditional Mexican ‘Worry Dolls’ among pillowtops as part of its turndown service, starting this September. The Worry Dolls measure about an inch and are made locally using wool and colorful textile leftovers. The dolls are then dressed in a traditional Mayan style wardrobe. The new dolls are an organic addition to the B&B, which features many vibrant works of art by local artisans and prides itself on sourcing locally-made goods, amenities, and foods. Each guest receives a doll from a trio of dolls during their stay. Guests are encouraged to take their dolls home as a memento and for ongoing stress-relief.
Traveling is so good for the mind, body, and soul, the doll is the perfect touch. Next time you travel to Mexico City, check out La Palomilla for a magickal stay.
