Easter is a perfectly pagan infused holiday that is full of festivities. My favorite thing to do on the holiday is brunch. Getting together with friends and family while having delicious food and drink is such a good way to spend the day.
While you may be seeking wine for the occasion there’s another option to consider…how about making a punch. Serving up a sparkling rum punch at your Easter brunch or soiree will definitely add to the good times. Punch has always been a cocktail for community. What better way to celebrate renewal and rebirth?
The rum selected for the punch is Diplomatico Exclusiva Reserva. The Venezuelan rum is crafted from sugar cane honey and distilled in copper pots then aged for up to twelve years. It’s smooth rum that is great on it’s own, while also fabulous in craft cocktails. The alchemy between Diplomatico and Montenegro is where the magick comes together in the punch.
The perfect dish to pair with the punch with is Perico, the famous Venezuelan egg dish. It’s a way to turn scrambled eggs up a notch. Easter is a big holiday in Venezuela. The week before Venezuelans spend Holy Week on vacation with family and friends on the beach or shopping. Festivities happen in cities all over the country for people celebrate.
Conjure it up and enjoy. Cheers!
