Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

The Autumn season is a great time for sweet potatoes. Well, it’s always a good time for them, however, there’s something about having them during the Fall. Use them as a side with a burger, chicken, or steamed fish. They would also be great by themselves as nosh when you chilling at home and crave fries.

Instead of frying them up, bake them as a healthy alternative. Sweet potatoes are a good source for vitamin A and vitamin C. They are great for fighting cancer and aging. There are so many things that sweet potatoes are good for they are at the top of the superfood list.

The following recipe is easy and quick to make. In about thirty minutes you will have a batch of delicious sweet potato fries to share of keep all for yourself. Enjoy!

Seasoned 30 Minute Sweet Potatoes


large sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons Greek olive oil ( or olive oil  of your choice)
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1⁄ 2teaspoon cinnamon


Scrub the sweet potatoes and leave the skin on (or take it off, whatever makes you happy). Use a knife to cut the potatoes into the shape of a shoestrings. Put the raw fries into a mixing bowl, and pour in the olive oil. Toss well to coat. Add the seasonings and toss well again. Arrange the fries on a baking sheet and bake at 400F for 10 minutes. Turn the fries with a spatula and bake for another 10 minutes. Blot off any excess oil with paper towels and serve.
