Pop A Pink Cork With Mionetto Prosecco For Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so you will start to notice pink popping up everywhere.
If you are a wine drinker and love a good bottle of bubbles,Mionetto USA, has a pink contest that you will want to be a part of. The prosecco makers are running their third annual ‘Pink Cork for the Cause. It’s a charitable program, that began in 2015, aimed to drive awareness and support breast cancer research. The program launched on September 1 and goes until October 31 so you have the whole month to get it in. It features pink corks hidden in promotional bottles of Mionetto Prestige Prosecco Brut ( $14) and Mionetto Prestige Rosé ($14).
Those lucky enough to find a pink cork will win a pink 5-speed hand mixer and automatically be entered into a Grand Prize Drawing for the chance to win a $10,000 charitable donation by Mionetto USA, made to the breast cancer charity of the winner’s choice. People who are 21+ of age are also invited to participate by entering an online sweepstakes.
The startling fact is that every two minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. One in every eight women in the United States will be affected by this disease in her lifetime. National Breast Cancer Foundation reports that death rates have been declining in recent decades, in part due to better screening, increased awareness and improving treatment options.
To date Mionetto USA has donated a total of $70,000 to numerous charities committed to fighting breast cancer and supporting survivors and their families. If you would like to participate in their program, you can go to Mionetto’s site to get complete details and how to participate without purchase.
