Are you up for a challenge… a cocktail challenge that is? Mionetto Prosecco has joined forces with Food and Wine for the second annual “Mionetto Cocktail Challenge”. What I love about this challenge is not only can bartenders enter, but those who love to whip up cocktails at home. If you can make a Prosecco cocktail that you know is badass, get on this.
In case you didn’t know, Mionetto has been Italy’s foremost Prosecco producer for over 125 years. The winery was founded in 1887 by Francesco Mionetto in the small village of Valdobbiadene, located just north of Venice, in the heart of the Prosecco region. As the only Prosecco producer who bottles-to-order, Mionetto ensures ultimate freshness and superior quality.
Submissions for the challenge are now open until August 31, 2017. That gives you just enough time to come up with a recipe if you don’t have one already. Once the submissions are narrowed down, the top three finalists in each category will be invited to a special mix-off event at the Food & Wine test kitchen in New York City. The finalists will be determined by Justin Noel, top NYC-based mixologist, Food & Wine editor, and Enore Ceola, managing director and CEO of Mionetto USA.
If you end up the bartender champion, you get bragging rights and featured in Food & Wine Magazine. The consumer champion wins a trip for two to Italy and all of your friends will know that you are a cocktail rockstar. Don’t let this opportunity go by, because you could be the winner.
