Belhurst Castle and Winery: Lady in White Food and Wine Pairing Dinner

As I mentioned in my travel predictions for 2017, wine tourism is going to be big. If you are looking for a wine region to explore, check out the Finger Lakes Wine Country in New York.

As you know I love castles, but one with a winery is an experience that sounds delicious.  There is a wonderful event happening at Belhurst Castle and Winery that is not to be missed on January 14th, 2017.

Lady in White Food and Wine Pairing Dinner at Belhurst Castle

The food and wine pairing dinners at Belhurst Castle and Winery are truly special. At this all white wine pairing, guests will be guided through a tasting of four Belhurst Estate Winery wines that have been paired with four chef-created tasting dishes. The evening’s host will educate participants on the history of wines from the Finger Lakes area, highlighting the notes that showcase the region’s exceptional culinary heritage. The evening’s chef will meet with guests at their tables to further explain the event’s farm-to-table philosophy and connection to local farmers.

This is a small group event with exclusive and limited seating where you will be dining with other food and wine lovers. Guests will be seated in a private dining room in the historic Belhurst Castle erected in 1885. Enjoy incredible views of Seneca Lake and be surrounded by original wood trim and a fireplace.

Some of the dishes on the menu will be:

Fried milk fed veal sweetbreads with honey-tahini served in savoy cabbage with salad of fresh ginger, carrots, jalapeno and English cucumber to be paired with Belhurst Estate Winery Golden Pheasant.

Seared diver scallop with fennel espuma served over red quinoa and sweet corn cake to be paired with Belhurst Estate Winery Semi Dry Riesling.

Sounds divine doesn’t it! I would love to go to the event myself. Get a ticket if you will be in the area. It should be an adventure to remember. Cheers!
