Deep & Dark Chocolate Brownies

I love dessert, especially chocolate dessert. There is something about it that always hits the spot. Also a yummy dessert is a wonderful treat to make for someone just because. They always say that the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach.

Well, these dark chocolate brownies are the business. Simply.. chocolate and love. As you may know, chocolate has been an aphrodisiac since the time of Mayans and Aztecs. Besides the taste, the smell of the chocolate and vanilla in the brownies will stimulate the senses to give you a frisky feeling.

Deep & Dark Chocolate Brownies

  • 1 cup Butter

  • 5 ounces, weight Unsweetened Chocolate

  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

  • 2 cups Sugar

  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla

  • 3 whole Large Eggs

  • 1-1/4 cup Flour

  • 3/4 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter with the unsweetened chocolate over low heat, whisk occasionally until smooth and melted. Pour in cocoa powder and whisk to combine. Remove the saucepan from heat and allow to cool for about about 5 minutes.

  3. Stir in sugar and vanilla.  Next stir in the eggs, one at a time.

  4. Now stir in the flour until halfway incorporated. Add the chocolate chips and stir just until combined.

  5. Pour batter  into a greased 8 x 8 or 9 x 13 baking pan.  Spread to even out the top and place in the oven.

  6. Bake for 40 minutes, then check the brownies with a toothpick. Return to the oven fora few more minutes if the center is gooey.

  7. Allow to cool completely, then cut into small squares.
