Pompette Notes: Mercer Spice Cabinet Horse Heaven Hills Rosé, 2015

A very lovely Rosé from Washington State by Mercer Wines made with 100% Grenache grapes. On the tongue it’s dry. The aromas that get you going are strawberries, white tea, citrus, and pomegranate. It’s a swirl of tasty flavors.

Winemaker’s notes:

This pretty pink Rosé begins with aromas of grapefruit peel, fresh strawberries, pomegranate, and white tea. The fruit is very focused and linear. In the palate, lush fruit is balanced with bright acidity, creating a harmonious wine with a full, rich mouthfeel. We strived to create a wine that is balanced, elegant, and fruit forward. This Rosé would be the perfect accompaniment to everything from a casual lunch, to a refined dinner, to a holiday celebration.

You can pair this wine with fish, chicken, burgers, and roasted veggies. For a full sensory experience sip while burning a floral essential oil like geranium or ylang ylang.

Pompette Tip: A super fly wine for summer and spring. Bust it out at a soiree when you are really throwing down.
