Pompette Notes: Torres Celeste Crianza 2012

A bodacious 100% Tempranillo from Spain. The Torres Celeste Crianza, 2012 caught my eye when I visited Torres Winery in Spain. It’s a dark and juicy red with aromas of blueberry, boysenberry and rose petals. It’s the kinda wine that is great with meat and hard cheeses.

Winemaker’s notes:

Luminous morello cherry red with garnet highlights. Intense aromas of wild blackberries and blueberry jam with toasted and spicy notes (pink peppercorn) and exciting undertones of hot wax and exquisitely fine oak. Round, velvety and mature, it envelops the palate in its perfume.

This wine is smooth and sexy on the tongue. Put this one on your list for when you want a fancier red wine to have with you food versus an everyday red. It’s also a good wine when you are in the mood to seduce.

For a full sensory experience while drinking this wine, burn incense or oil with geranium or rosewood. This will help your senses fully enjoy the aromas in the wine.

Pompette Tip:  A red to remember!
